Mini Habits Is Here

Questions & Answers

Q: What’s a mini habit?mini habits

A mini habit is a very small positive behavior that you force yourself to do every day; its “too small to fail” nature makes it weightless, deceptively powerful, and a superior habit-building strategy. You will have no choice but to believe in yourself when you’re always moving forward. The barrier to the first step is so low that even depressed or “stuck” people can find early success and begin to reverse their lives right away. And if you think one push-up a day is too small to matter, I’ve got one heck of a story for you!

Q: What will the book do for me?

Mini Habits will allow you to incorporate new healthy behaviors into your life without the guilt, intimidation, and repeated failure associated with other strategies such as “getting motivated” or even “just doing it.” In fact, the basis of what makes the Mini Habits strategy so powerful is it naturally creates a positive encouragement spiral. When you succeed every day, your general motivation level increases and you’ll begin to believe in yourself. More commonly, people are trapped in negative downward spirals, because when they feel bad, they don’t want to take action, which makes them feel even worse about themselves.

Mini Habits reverses these downward spirals by shifting momentum positively and continuing it every day. Once you do something for 30, 60, or 90 days, your brain will begin to form it into a habit, and you will have no choice but to believe in yourself. For example, I’ve read and written every day for 3 months. The barrier to the first step is so low that even depressed or “stuck” people can find early success and begin to reverse their lives right away.

Q: Why do they work?

Mini habits use a tiny amount of your willpower to “spark” you to action every day. This spark can (and often does) lead to further action beyond your initial small requirement. Scientific studies on willpower show it’s limited, and motivation is erratic because it’s feelings-based, so by using willpower in the most “cost-efficient” way, we can guarantee progress that builds and builds into something special.

Q: Do I even need to read the book now?

YES! The book is 33,000 words of depth that will explore exactly how and why this concept works, as well as give you critical implementation tips. In addition, mindset plays a key role in this strategy’s success, and the book will tell you what mindsets can sabotage your goals, what mindsets ensure success, and how your brain will react to the changes you’re making at every stage. It’s important to know what’s going on so that you can react appropriately to challenges that will arise.

Q: Where can I buy/read Mini Habits?

Mini Habits is exclusive to Amazon Kindle (print and audiobook versions are in consideration). Kindle books can be read on Mac, PC, or any smartphone or tablet using the Kindle App. If you don’t want to bother with the kindle app or don’t know how to install it (it’s easy!), contact me, show me your amazon receipt, and I’ll send you a PDF version of the book that you can read on your computer/tablet/phone.

Thank you for this book and the mini-habits approach!
I bought the book last week, and have been able to implement my exercise goal every day since then!
Previously, I had been dreading a long, difficult exercise session. Now I am free to stop after one step or one rep, and so far every day I have done at least 10 minutes.
It’s refreshing to not feel like I am fighting myself, and actually work with my brain and then get to feel proud.
Thank you!

That’s great Cheryl! And it’s my pleasure to share this approach. Would you mind if I shared your success on Minihabits.com and possibly the Amazon book page? It’s great to have early feedback like this.

Cheryl
